Stella Govitz, a junior in the School of Journalism at ComArtSci, loves storytelling. As an emerging journalist, she is honing her craft by recognizing the achievements of people in the MSU and mid-Michigan communities. But recently, Govitz was a bit surprised to learn her own achievements were being recognized as well.

Gupta Values Lecture Series with Cassidy Hutchinson
The Gupta Values Ethics Lecture Series was created to highlight individuals who personify the Gupta Values of integrity, human dignity and excellence. Because of my journalism background, I was asked to moderate a discussion with Cassidy Hutchinson, the former assistant of President Trump’s Chief of Staff. After the Jan. 6 insurrection, she testified against Trump. Alongside my co-moderator, I created questions, prepared for the event and interviewed Hutchinson on stage in front of 150+ attendees.
